By News Staff

An incident of road rage ended in a stabbing in the city’s west end overnight.

Emergency crews were called to King Street near Beaty Avenue, just west of Jameson Avenue, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say two cars were heading along King and both cut each other off.

The occupants of the vehicles began yelling at each other until the drivers eventually pulled the cars over and a fight broke out.

Two people were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, the other with serious injuries.

A third person made his own way to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say all three victims were from the same car.

Following the stabbing, the suspects fled the scene in the other car, described as a silver Honda Civic.

No suspect description has been released.

Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam or security video of the area around the time of the incident, or who may know the identity of the men involved, to contact investigators.
