Toronto police say a man has been charged in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in North York on Monday.

Officers respond to a call in the Cook and Sentinel roads area around 11 p.m. on July 15.

They say a 20-year-old woman was walking on Cook Road when she was approached by a man who began a conversation with her. He then invited her to his residence to continue to “socialize with her.”

Once inside his room, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Georges Njockachem, 26, of Toronto, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of sexual assault. He appeared in court the same day.
