IN PHOTOS: Roads flood amid torrential rain in GTA

Several highways and streets across the GTA are experiencing major flooding amid a heavy rainstorm in the city.

The TTC was even been forced to close Jane station.

The showers and thunderstorms were expected to drop between 20 and 40 mm of rain with some areas possibly receiving 50 mm of rain. Additional showers and thunderstorms were also possible later this afternoon.
