Grandmother dies, toddler in hospital after being found in Oakville family pool

A 79-year-old woman has died and a four-year-old girl is in hospital after being found in a family pool in Oakville.
Police were called to the scene on Yarmouth Crescent around 12 p.m. Wednesday to reports a grandmother and her granddaughter were found face down in the pool.
A neighbour pulled the woman out while the mother of the toddler pulled out the girl.
Officers performed CPR on the woman, but she was pronounced dead on the scene.
The girl was revived before police arrived and she was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital in critical condition. As of Thursday morning, she was listed in stable condition.
Investigators attended the scene, but say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
