Toronto police are investigating two overnight vehicle fires in Scarborough.

The first incident was reported just before 2 a.m. Friday, at a tow truck yard near Eglinton Avenue East and Birchmount Road.

Two vehicles were on fire when crews arrived – a third also caught fire.

About 30 minutes later crews received a call for a CAA tow truck on fire at the back of an apartment building on Bellamy Road, near Eglinton.

Officials say an accelerate was found under the truck.

It’s unclear if the two incidents are related.

The Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.
