Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (16,396.15, up 84.54 points).

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Up 33 cents, or 2.76 per cent, to $12.28 on 10 million shares.

Prometic Life Sciences Inc. (TSX:PLI). Health care. Down three cents, or 14.63 per cent, to 17.5 cents on 7.3 million shares.

MEG Energy Corp. (TSX:MEG). Energy. Up 27 cents, or 5.16 per cent, to $5.50 on seven million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Energy. Up 30 cents, or 3.23 per cent, to $9.59 on 6.8 million shares.

Crescent Point Energy Corp. (TSX:CPG). Up 29 cents, or 6.99 per cent, to $4.44 on 5.8 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTX). Up 17 cents, or 7.66 per cent, to $2.39 on 5.4 million shares.

Companies reporting:

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX:SNC). Down 56 cents, or 1.62 per cent, to $33.92 on 1.4 million shares. The company has signed a deal to sell the bulk of its stake in Ontario’s 407 toll highway operator for $3.25 billion, some of which will go toward a loan from Quebec’s pension fund. The OMERS pension plan will buy a 10.01 per cent stake in 407 International Inc., reducing SNC-Lavalin’s interest to 6.76 per cent, according to an agreement announced Friday.

Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX:CJR.B) Up 39 cents, or 6.06 per cent, to $6.83 on 2.3 million shares. The company said its television business is regaining popularity with advertisers, chief executive Doug Murphy said Friday after the company’s revenue growth beat analyst estimates in the second quarter. The Toronto-based owner of the Global television network, specialty TV channels such as HGTV Canada, local radio stations and content production studios, said its overall revenue for the quarter totalled $384.1 million.
