Man critically injured after being struck by TTC utility vehicle

A man in his 60s is in hospital after being struck by a TTC utility vehicle in the city’s west end.

Police responded to a call for a collision on Perth and Wallace Avenues around 6:20 p.m.

A pedestrian was found unconscious but breathing. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the victim.

He is described as five-feet-six inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with an olive complexion, brown eyes, grey hair and a mustache. The man also has a “U” shaped scar below his ribs.

When he was struck, he was wearing blue jeans with a brown belt, a burgundy or red plaid shirt, grey hiking shoes and a black wind jacket with an orange collar. Police say he wears a watch and was carrying keys to an older model Nissan.
