Alberta’s election looms. Is Rachel Notley’s NDP already beaten?

Her party trails by double digits in the polls. Jason Kenney’s UCP is united and ready to pounce. There’s still no pipeline and the economy is struggling. With an Alberta election call just days away, it looks like the deck is stacked against Premier Rachel Notley and the NDP.

But could the winds still change? And if not, then what happened to the party that swept to power for the first time just four years ago? Did they lose the support of Albertans, or have circumstances simply been beyond their control? Is there anything Notley can do now to change minds? And if voters want to return her party to the opposition in a month or so…why won’t anyone say a bad word about Notley herself?
