A 29-year-old man from Waterloo is facing 70 charges in an expansive child pornography investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police allege the man sexually assaulted three children and one adult.

The charges include sexual assault, sexual interference, making child pornography and voyeurism.

Police say the man knew all of his alleged victims and the alleged incidents occurred in Kitchener and Oxford Country.

According to a release issued by Waterloo police, the arrest is a part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution and possession of “child exploitation material,” involving nine police forces in southern Ontario.

The probe previously resulted in 10 arrests in October 2018.
