Bar fight ends with woman being hit by car in parking lot

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car in a parking lot in Scarborough.

Police said an altercation happened inside a bar in the Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue area around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

The fight spilled out into the parking lot where witness said a woman got into a car and reportedly struck another woman, who was standing on the sidewalk.

One witness told 680 NEWS that after the driver struck the woman, she reversed and tried to hit her again.

The car then struck two other vehicles and a building before speeding off.

Police said the victim suffered serious injuries to her leg.

A description of the vehicle has not been released.
