Small plane crash forces closure of Billy Bishop airport

A pilot sustained minor injuries after a small plane crashed at Billy Bishop airport.
Police and emergency crews responded to the island airport around 5:30 p.m.
The plane appears to have skidded or slid off the main runway before flipping onto its roof.
Transport Canada has been advised of the crash.
Billy Bishop says all flights have been cancelled for the remainder of the evening but operations are expected to return to normal in the morning.
