2 injured in Etobicoke shooting

Two people are in hospital after a shooting in Etobicoke on Sunday night.

Police responded to reports of a person being shot at a large gathering in the Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area around 10:30 p.m.

When officers arrived they found shell casings and bullet holes in five vehicles at a plaza in the area but no victims were located.

A short time later, two people were found with non-life threatening, minor shooting-related injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police say several people were in the area at the time of the shooting and they are looking for assistance from witnesses.

There is no suspect information available at this time.
