1 man arrested, 2 in hospital after stabbing in midtown pub

Two men are in hospital after a stabbing in a pub in midtown Toronto on Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Right Wing pub on Yonge Street and Erskine Avenue around 7 p.m.

They say a man reportedly walked into a pub and immediately started a fight with a patron.

Police say he stabbed the patron five times and another man who tried to intervene was also stabbed once. Both men were taken to hospital but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Pub staff as well as other patrons sprung into action and held the suspect down till police arrived and took the suspect into custody.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
