Group of Seven painting allegedly stolen in Annex break and enter

An original piece of artwork done by a member of the iconic Group of Seven was allegedly stolen during a break and enter in the Annex last week.

Toronto police were called to a home in the Bloor Street West neighbourhood on Friday.

It was reported that “Sun Gleams: Autumn, North Saskatchewan,” an oil on canvas painting by A.Y. Jackson, had been stolen, along with other items.

Police said the painting, which is 32″ x 40″ is valued in excess of $200,000.
