Woman in critical condition after hit-and-run in Scarborough

A 67-year-old woman is in critical condition following a hit-and-run in Scarborough on Thursday evening.

Police responded to a call for a collision at Danforth Road and Patterson Avenue around 7 p.m.

A female pedestrian was walking northeast on Danforth Road and was crossing at Patterson Avenue when she was struck by a black SUV which had turned off Danforth.

Police say the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last seen travelling northeast towards Warden Avenue. They add the vehicle will likely have damage to the front left side.

Police describe the woman’s injuries as life-threatening.
