Police say a male victim was found seriously injured in Scarborough, but they are unsure of how he came to be hurt.
Officers responded to numerous calls for “unknown trouble” following reports that a person had been shot or stabbed in the area of Upton Road and Warden Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival they found a male with serious injuries who was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say it is unclear if the man was suffering from a stab wound or a gunshot wound.
Investigators say they did not find shell casings in the area. They did recover a knife but are unable to confirm if it is related to the incident at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
