A 48-year-old Whitby man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his teenage son in Whitby early Friday morning.
Durham regional police were called to a home near Manning Road and Anderson Street around 12:20 a.m. for a domestic incident.
Once at the scene, officers found a 19-year-old man with stab wounds.
He was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The teen’s father was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, weapons dangerous, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.
The suspect, whose name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identify, was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
