An officer and a suspect were injured during an investigation involving a stolen vehicle in Mississauga on Friday afternoon, Peel police say.
It happened around 1 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue East and Tomken Road.
Const. Akhil Mooken said officers were in a parking lot trying to arrest a woman suspected of stealing a black Jeep when she fled in the vehicle, striking one of the officers.
Mooken said police fired shots, but no one was hit.
The woman continued driving until she hit a truck on Timberlea Boulevard.
Paramedics took the officer and the woman to a local hospital with minor injuries.
