Man stabbed during fight near Moss Park

A man is in hospital after an overnight stabbing in the city’s downtown core.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Sherbourne Street, just north of Queen Street East, around 2:50 a.m. Monday.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 50s, was found with serious but not life-threatening stab wounds.
One man was taken into custody. Police said he will be facing charges of assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
It’s believed the incident began with an argument over a payphone in the neighbourhood.
