Two men and a woman are facing a total of 21 charges connected to a human trafficking investigation.

On Dec. 1, members of the Sex Crimes Human Trafficking Enforcement Team began investigating allegations that a woman and a man met on Tinder and he attempted to bring her into the sex trade.

It was reported that the 23-year-old man then harassed the woman after she refused.

A different woman also reported that she’d met a 19-year-old man on Tinder who lured her into the sex trade. The man allegedly took her to a hotel in Mississauga, took photos of her in various stages of undress and then posted ads for sexual services on the website Leolist.

The man allegedly arranged dates for her and then forced her to give him all her earnings. He also allegedly assaulted her and threatened her family.

The man then introduced the victim to the 23-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.

The woman then allegedly took more photos of the victim and once again posted ads for sexual services on the same website. She then allegedly set up dates for the victim and forced her to give all her earnings to the two men.

On Dec. 1, police arrested Joshua Hamblett, 23, of Brampton, and Sashauna Wilkins, 23, of Brampton, were arrested. They face multiple charges including trafficking in persons by recruiting, advertising another person’s sexual services and financial/material benefit from trafficking.

Police have released images of all three suspects, as they are concerned there may be more victims.
