54-year-old identified as victim in fatal Mississauga hit-and-run

Peel Regional Police have identified the man found dead in a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga on Friday.

Police say 54-year-old Gianfranco (John) Zucatti was struck and killed as he crossed Dundas Street near Wharton Way just before 8 p.m.

The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene. Police say they are looking for a red 2017-2018 Dodge Challenger which is likely missing a right side mirror and will have damage to the right front headlight and front bumper.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have video footage to contact them.
