Surveillance footage released of thief targeting downtown businesses

By News Staff

Police have released security camera footage of a thief who has been targeting downtown businesses.

Over the past three years, police say they have received 13 complaints of break and enters between May and October in the downtown core.

Police say it appears the thief is targeting businesses in older buildings and ones that use Apple products. The suspect appears to gain entry by using a crowbar to force the door open.

The suspect, whose images has been captured on video numerous times, is described as being between six-feet and six-foot-two, heavy build, between 220 and 240 pounds, clean shaven with short brown hair. Police say he dresses well and blends in with regular crowds but stands out due to his size.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
