Ontario Fall Economic Statement to be delivered on Nov. 15

By Richard Southern

The province promised big cuts to government spending and we could soon find out just what’s on the chopping block.

On Thursday, Finance Minister Vic Fedeli announced at Queen’s Park that he would be delivering the Fall Economic Statement on Nov. 15.

“The Fall Economic Statement will turn the page on 15 long years of tax and spend Liberal policies,” Fedeli said.

“Speaker, the days of attempting to balance budgets through one-time revenue are over.”

Fedeli didn’t go into detail about what the update would contain but it may detail what the Ford government plans to cut.

During his election campaign, Premier Doug Ford pledged to cut $6-billion in spending.
