GO Transit service has resumed after a woman was killed by a train on the Lakeshore West line in Oakville on Friday.
It happened near Speers Road and Fourth Line around 3:20 p.m.
Train service was suspended while police investigated. The tracks reopened around three hours later.
Police said they would not be revealing why the woman was on the tracks. They are notifying next-of-kin.
Metrolinx spokeswoman Anne Marie Aikins said in a tweet it’s the fifth fatality involving GO trains in the past two weeks.
