Man hit by streetcar on Roncesvalles

A man in his 50s is in hospital after he was struck by a streetcar in Roncesvalles Village.

It happened at Roncesvalles and Gallery avenues, north of Queen Street West, around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The man’s injuries are serious but not considered life-threatening.

It’s unclear what led to the crash, or if any charges will be laid.

This is the second collision involving a streetcar in the past 48 hours. On Monday night, a man was killed after he fell off his bicycle and became pinned underneath a streetcar near Queen and Broadview Avenue.
