Toronto police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a 49-year-old man last month.
Just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 24, police were called to a parking lot behind a Scarborough strip mall, near Markham Road and Finch Avenue East, for reports of an assault.
When officers arrived on scene they found Cecil Graham suffering from traumatic upper body injuries.
Graham died shortly after.
Witnesses told police they saw a man running south from the area.
Speaking with the press shortly after the incident, Homicide Det. Sgt. Mike Carbone said the two men knew each other but would not elaborate on what the dispute was between the two of them that ultimately led to Graham’s death.
Garfield Chambers, 43, of Toronto was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police had described Chambers as “violent and extremely dangerous.”
