Police identify victim and suspect in fatal shooting near Pape and Danforth

Toronto police have identified the victim and suspect in a fatal shooting on the Danforth early Wednesday morning.
Danny Morales, 35, was declared dead at the scene after emergency crews were called to Langford Avenue, near Danforth Avenue, just before 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Morales was shot in the head.
A man was located and arrested a short time later in the area. Jorge Jose, 27, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police said they were searching for a second suspect.
Wednesday’s gun violence comes just one month after a mass shooting on the Danforth, which took the lives of two girls and injured 13 others.
