Toronto police say a teenage boy has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy near Sherway Gardens.

Police were called to a building on Sherway Garden Road just after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday following reports of a stabbing.

One man and two boys were taken to a trauma centre suffering from life-threatening injuries. Paramedics originally told CityNews the victims were two men and one teenager.

One of the boys, 15-year-old Jack Meldrum of Mississauga, was pronounced dead in hospital.

Officers arrested the 15-year-old suspect on Monday and he has been charged with second-degree murder.

His name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the victim, Meldrum, or have any information about his whereabouts on Saturday to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
