Woman killed, 3 teens injured in crash involving tractor-trailer in Brampton

Peel police say a woman died and three teenagers were injured after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a van in Brampton.

Officers were called to the area of Bovaird Drive West and Brisdale Drive just after 9:30 p.m. on Monday.

Police said the tractor-trailer T-boned the van.

A 42-year-old woman, who has a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital.

An 18-year-old woman driving one of the vehicles, a 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy who were passengers, suffered minor injuries.

There has been no word on charges.

The area was closed off for most of the overnight while police investigated. The area has since reopened.
