A 48-year-old man has been arrested after fire broke out at Old City Hall earlier this week.

Emergency crews were called to the building at Queen and Bay streets on Monday evening after three separate fires were, allegedly, deliberately set within an office, causing an estimated $100,000 in damage.

No injuries were reported.

On Wednesday, police identified the suspect as George Powers.

The following day Powers was arrested.

He now faces four charges including breaking and entering, as well as arson.
