6 arrested after 2 guns seized near Front and Spadina

Toronto police have made yet another gun seizure as a part of their Gun and Gang task force, charging six people in the process.

Officers executed a search warrant on Tuesday in the area of Front Street West and Spadina Avenue.

Two handguns, a .45 calibre and a 9mm,  were allegedly seized.

As a result, the following suspects are facing multiple charges:

Ibrahim Abdikarim, 24, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition

Jabril Abdirahman, 25, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition

Abdullahi Abdikarim, 22, of Brampton, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition

Hussein Nur, 31, of No Fixed Address, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition
7) Three counts of Fail to comply with prohibition order
8) Fail to comply with recognizance

Maya Ahmed, 26, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition
7) Two counts of Fail to comply with prohibition order

Liban Guled, 28, of Richmond Hill, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
2) Two counts of Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Two counts of Possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence
5) Two counts of Careless storage of firearm
6) Two counts of Careless storage of ammunition

They appeared in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday morning.

This is the fourth gun seizure by Toronto police since Saturday morning, resulting in five guns being taken off the streets.
