Prince Edward Island woman faces multiple charges in death of two infants

CHARLOTTETOWN – A P.E.I. woman has been charged in connection with the deaths of two infants following a yearlong investigation.

The major crime unit of the Charlottetown Police Services says the 39-year-old woman is facing two counts of infanticide in connection with incidents from 2014 and 2016.

She’s also facing two counts of failing to seek assistance in child birth and two counts of disposing of the body of a child with intent to conceal the fact it had been delivered.

The Charlottetown woman is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
