Mother, boyfriend charged in 8-month-old baby’s death

Durham police say the mother of an 8-month-old baby and her boyfriend have been charged in the 2016 death of the baby boy.
Officers say they were called to an apartment on Robson Street in Oshawa on December 29, 2016 to find a baby not breathing.
EMS attempted to revive the 8-month old, but he was was pronounced dead at the scene.
The baby was identified as Kaleb McKay.
A post-mortem was conducted and the death was ruled a homicide. Police say the boy died from numerous injuries.
After a lengthy investigation, the mother and her boyfriend were arrested.
The mother’s boyfriend, Denim Henderson, 26, of Oshawa has been charged with second degree murder, aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.
Jordan Brownell, 26, also of Oshawa has been charged with manslaughter.
Both have been held for a bail hearing.
