OTTAWA – Canada’s national annual inflation rate was 2.2 per cent in May, Statistics Canada says. Here’s what happened in the provinces (previous month in brackets):
— Newfoundland and Labrador: 1.8 per cent (1.5)
— Prince Edward Island: 2.4 (2.2)
— Nova Scotia: 2.3 (2.8)
— New Brunswick: 2.1 (2.2)
— Quebec: 1.7 (1.7)
— Ontario: 2.3 (2.1)
— Manitoba: 2.7 (2.9)
— Saskatchewan: 3.0 (2.5)
— Alberta: 2.6 (2.3)
— British Columbia: 2.7 (2.7)
