Police arrest 3 in west end jewelry heist

Toronto police have arrested three people accused of robbing a west end jewelry store.

In a release police said two masked men walked into a business in the Dundas Street West and Keele Street area on May 28 at around 3 p.m. and ordered two people inside to get on the ground.

The suspects smashed glass display cabinets with hammers, obtaining large amounts of jewelry.

The men then fled to a rental vehicle, where a female getaway driver was waiting for them, police said.

Two of the suspects, Ryan Green, 33, and Theresa Brightly, 27, were arrested the next day.

They’re facing several charges, including robbery, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking in property obtained by crime.

A third suspect, Scott Joyette, 45, was arrested on June 19. He’s also facing several charges including robbery and forcible confinement.
