Suspect arrested in Parkdale murder

Toronto police have charged a 42-year-old man with murder nearly a week after the alleged beating death of a man in Parkdale

Police were called to the area of West Lodge and Lansdowne avenues at around 8:30 p.m. on June 13 following a report that a man had been assaulted.

The 51-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He was identified as Joseph Perron of Toronto.

Raymond Moore, 42, of Toronto has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.

He will appear in court on Wednesday.
