Toronto police are looking for several suspects after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed behind a church in the city’s west end.
It happened around 8 p.m. Monday at the rear of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Eglinton Avenue West, near Dufferin Street.
Police say the victim made his way to the Maria A. Shchuka Library following the stabbing and after staff called police, he was picked up there by EMS.
The teen was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to survive.
Police have not released a description of the suspects and are asking any witnesses to come forward.
Note: Toronto police originally said the boy was stabbed at a library. He was not.
