Second man charged in murder of East York woman

Police have charged a second man with first-degree murder after a mother of three was killed in her East York home late last month.

While responding to a 911 call, police found Rhoderie Estrada, 41, dead in her house near O’Connor Drive and Pape Avenue around 2:15 a.m. on May 26.

Police believe the murder was committed sometime between 10:30 p.m. the night before and early that morning.

Police said they will not be releasing the cause of death.

On Sunday, officers arrested Yostin Murillo, 22, of no fixed address and charged him with one count of first-degree murder.

Police said there was no relationship between Murillo and the victim.

Then on Friday morning, investigators arrested David Beak, 23, of no fixed address, also charging him with first-degree murder.

He is due on court on Saturday.
