York police say one suspect has been arrested and another is wanted in the murder of the man found in a car in Richmond Hill and a Toronto home invasion on Thursday.

Police say around 7 a.m., they were told a home invasion had happened in Toronto and that a vehicle connected to it might be in the area of Bayswater Avenue and Emily Court, near Yonge Street and North Lake Road.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the driver’s seat.

Investigators believe two suspects were involved in the murder and then went to the home connected to the victim near the Air Canada Centre.

Two men were allegedly tied up and robbed in the residence and the victim’s dog was killed. The men were not injured.

Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Matthew Arcara. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.

Arjuna Paramsothy, 31, of Newmarket, is facing several charges including first-degree murder, robbery using a firearm, forcible confinement and killing an animal.
