1 dead, 1 injured in North York crash

One person is dead and a second is injured in a multi-vehicle crash at Finch Avenue and Signet Drive in North York on April 23, 2018. CITYNEWS

A man in his 40s has died after a three-vehicle crash in North York.

It happened at the intersection of Finch Avenue and Signet Drive, just west of Highway 400, around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

A cargo van, a minivan and a car were involved.

The impact of the crash caused the cargo van to flip over, while the car landed in a ditch just outside the intersection.

Paramedics said a man was pronounced dead on scene.

Another male of unknown age was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The area was closed for several hours while police investigate but has since reopened.
