1 dead, suspect in custody after shooting in Durham Region

A 38-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the northern area of Durham Region.
Police say they were called to a home on Hillside Crescent in Cannington, which is west of Lindsay, around 5 a.m. on Friday and found the victim.
Investigators says another male resident was taken into custody and they are not looking for additional suspects.
The victim has been identified as Brian Shane Windsor of Cannington.
This is Durham Region’s sixth homicide of the year.
