Brampton fire chief's pickup and another vehicle involved in crash

Brampton’s fire chief was one of two people injured in a two-vehicle crash in Brampton.

The crash involving the fire chief’s pickup truck happened at Queen Street West and McLaughlin Road just after 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

Peel police say one of the vehicles knocked down a light standard.

The fire chief was taken to hospital, but police say his injuries are minor.

A second person was also treated for minor injuries.

Roads in the area are closed for the police investigation.
