Man charged with murder after assault near Bathurst and St. Clair

Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal assault near Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue West.

Police say a man allegedly assaulted another shortly before midnight on Monday and the victim had critical injuries.

Terrance Coughlin, 59, was pronounced dead in hospital.

The suspect fled before police arrived. He was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

Curtis Ashley Wheatley, 35, has been charged with first-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
