Two teenage boys were arrested at the Eaton Centre on Saturday night for alleged possession of a replica handgun.
Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook says police responded to a call from a security officer in the mall at around 7:30 p.m.
She said the security officer spotted one of the boys with what he thought might be a handgun. He kept an eye on the boys and updated police about their whereabouts in the mall.
Police found the teens on the platform at Dundas subway station and they were arrested. A replica handgun was also recovered.
The teens are now facing weapons related charges.
