Satire piece has Trump mocking Jesus’ hometown

By The Associated Press

A satire site falsely quoted President Donald Trump as calling Nazareth a “hole” and is linked to an unrelated photo of the president from a year-old interview.

The Babylon Bee, which publishes satire relating to Christianity, drew a comparison between Trump’s reported remarks earlier this year about African countries, in a report claiming Trump said he wouldn’t accept Christianity anymore because Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth is undesirable. An image of Trump talking that illustrates the piece is from a January 2017 White House interview.
