Toronto police have released security images of a suspect wanted in connection with an attack at Stock Yards Village.
Just after 3 p.m. on Friday police were called to the scene at St Clair Avenue West and Weston Road.
It was reported that the victim, a 24-year-old man, was walking on the sidewalk when he had a brief, friendly exchange with a man. The victim continued to walk but was startled by a scream.
It’s alleged that when he turned around, he saw the man walking towards him with a knife. The man allegedly stabbed the victim through the hand.
Investigators believe this was a random and unprovoked attack.
The suspect is considered to be armed, violent and dangerous, and should not be approached if seen.
Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to contact investigators at 416-808-1200.
