A 100-year-old woman and her 70-year-old son were injured in a road rage attack involving a hammer near Yonge Street and King Road Thursday morning.

York police say a man stopped his car while travelling southbound at the Richmond Hill intersection around 11 a.m. then stepped out of his car, approached the vehicle behind him, and smashed the driver’s side window with a hammer.

The woman and man in the vehicle that was targeted were both injured in the attack.

The suspect is described as a white 30-year-old man with sunglasses, wearing a blue sweater and light-coloured pants.

He was driving a silver or grey Honda.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
