A downtown campus at the University of Toronto had to be evacuated following reports of a suspicious object.
Emergency personnel were called to the area of Spadina Avenue and Harbord Street just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
A brief statement posted on the University of Toronto website says both Wilson Hall and Wetmore Hall at the St. George downtown campus were evacuated.
Police say after a thorough investigation, no explosive device was found and everyone was allowed back into the residence almost two hours later.
