Shots fired at short-term rental property in Mississauga

Police have arrested several people after shots were fired at a home in Mississauga on Saturday morning.

It happened shortly after 5 a.m. near Lorne Park Road and Truscott Drive.

A witness told CityNews he heard around four or five shots and cars speeding away.

Police confirmed shots had been fired, but no one has reported any injuries.

People were taking cover inside the house, but heavily-armed tactical officers finally got them to come out around 10 a.m. Several men and women were taken into custody. No charges have been laid.

Police said the home was being used for short-term rentals and the owners were not there when the gunfire happened. Officers don’t believe the owners were targeted.

Anyone with information or surveillance or dashcam footage is asked to call police.
