Pedestrian freed after being pinned under TTC streetcar

A 30-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was pinned under a TTC streetcar.

Emergency crews were called to Queen Street West at Gladstone Avenue around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Toronto police said it appears a man walked out from between two parked cars mid-block and was hit the by a streetcar.

He was trapped underneath the streetcar and had to be extricated by Toronto Fire.

The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
